Advisor moves: Breakaway teams head for independence

The wave of advisory transitions continued this week as teams collectively overseeing more than $1.2 billion in assets struck out in new directions.

N10 Holdings, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based enterprise, made the most ambitious debut of the three, launching into independence through Dynasty Financial Partners with two affiliated firms (N10° Wealth and N10° Assets).

The four-person founding team is led by Andrew Urbanski, who spent 19 years at prominent Wall Street firms building a practice with custody of more than $750 million in client assets before making the break. Until last month he was with Wells Fargo Advisors as senior private wealth advisor and managing director. Before that near-6-year tenure, he spent a similar time at UBS and earlier in his career was with Morgan Stanley.
